Thunder Island is a small family-owned park born in 1979.

Every year since the beginning something new has been added or changed to better serve the guest and make the park a more enjoyable place to visit.

The park offers free  general admission and free parking and will continue to do this as long as the attractions remain on a pay as you go basis.

"Pay as you go," instead of an all-encompassing pass, allows you to customize your activities at the park so you do not have to pay for rides you may not be able to take advantage of. For example,  NYS law requires go-kart drivers be 54" tall.  ( We do offer a pass that includes everything except the go-karts for just that reason.) So we let you choose what appeals to you and we  price it accordingly so that you can have a great time and we can remain in business.

All of our ride and attraction prices are below what you will find anywhere else. The park is kept as clean and safe as possible. You will always find an owner or manager on site working with the rest of the staff. We are home to over 70 staff members a season with 12 full and part time on a year round basis attending to Oasis events and preparing for the next season. Thunder Island has a few unique qualities such as generating its own power, a private facility for catered and special events that are not available to the public except on a reserved basis, and owners and managers always in charge and leading the way.

Today's entertainment market is complex, and today's guests are busier. Thunder Island has been here for 26 years, providing our guests with great days of summer fun.
